Skyrim VR... Day 10

I found my way through the mountains, past a seemingly-abandoned cottage (that I looted) and found myself at the town at the bottom of the 7000 steps leading up to that monastery I'm supposed to go check out.

A dragon flew by overhead and scared the bajeezus out of me, it circled a few times before flapping off. I sometimes wonder if I'm a dragon magnet.

Anyway, I wandered into that quaint town (so quaint, it didn't even want to buy all the armor I looted from the vampires). Chatted to the innkeep and had the bard play a song then crashed there for the night.

In the morning... one might have expected me to wander up the 7000 steps, but I had heard some gossip from the villagers and had another half dozen quests to finish up in the local area, so off I went into a haunted barrow.

Turned out that the ghost was just some alchemist dude who had a potion of spectral appearance or somesuch. I gave him a whalloping and read his journal. He was looking for a claw to open a door deeper in the barrow... spent a while searching for the claw but no dice, so headed back out.

Then there was a second barrow type place on an island in the middle of the river. Figured I should clear that while I was at it... and besides, a villager had allegedly gone missing on that island.

It was a bit of a creepy place, Janessa kept on complaining about how the spirits were displeased with my looting of their tomb. Some walking corpses expressed their displeasure more vehemently. Nothing we couldn't handle.

There were a few puzzles and traps and a couple of hidden chests which I made sure to empty. It was quite a productive evening.

Got to the end of the barrow in what could only be described as a boss room, I mean why else would it have suspicious looking pillars? So I went and disturbed that old corpse too.

He was unimpressed, and level 30, and kicked my ass a couple of times. In the end I was able to deal with him using the good old hide in the shadows and turned him into a pincushion.

Now I'm even more laden from multiple dungeons and still at this quaint town who doesn't want to buy all my phat lewt.

Luckily I recalled that fast travel was a thing, so off I teleported to Whiterun, enchanted stuff, blacksmithed stuff, made oodles of potions, then tried to sell everything except the shop keepers were mostly poor.

I mean, they all have single digit gold coins now, but many started with only a few anyhow. I think I earned a level up just from crafting which is nice.
