Tranquil Oscillations
Tranquil Oscillations

I've been sitting on this track for a while. I fell in love with Donruth, a Massive synth patch, and found myself just listening to the way the chords built and interacted with each other for hours on end but I couldn't really work out where to go from there. But then I thought if there's one person on the planet who happens to like that sound, perhaps there's others... so I put down what I hope to be a very chill and spacey sounding track.

My friend Sekhali also requested an extended melody-free version to zone out to.

Artemis I
Artemis I

In the spirit of "Dream big, dare to fail"... what could be a bigger dream right now than putting humans back on the moon?

I wasn't born when they first did this, but I've always had my head in the sky... be than sci-fi books, shows and movies, or flying my spaceship around in Elite II or X3: Reunion).

Space may be the final frontier, but the good folks at NASA are propelling the human race toward that frontier and this song is dedicated to them.

The Dinner Bell
The Dinner Bell

As many folks have been doing over the tail end of 2022, I was playing around with Chat GPT and asked it to write me some lyrics for a song about bells. It was far too cheerful, so I asked it to revise the lyrics to be about the zombie apocalypse and ringing the dinner bell. It still wasn't quite there, so I then I clarified that the dinner bell was a shotgun and asked if it could make the words rhyme. And this is what transpired...

Flying High
Flying High

This is an interesting trip of nostalgia for me... I wrote this piece in high school for music class (a quarter century ago), but now I have some fancy new VST's to play with I thought why not do a remaster/rerecording? I'm pretty new to mixing and making stuff sound 'professional', so if you have any constructive criticism/tips on how I could improve the mix, I'd be happy to hear your thoughts.

My parents house is at the top of a hill overlooking the ocean, and just about every nice day you can see folks like the one in the picture Flying High over the hill and eventually landing down at the beach... this music was inspired by watching them. I was never brave enough to actually don a glider myself, just happy to stare out of the window while pottering around on my Atari ST and Roland D5 synth. 😄
